- It is a player's turn to respond once the other player has posted their response (including the title of the image, number of hours it took the player to respond, points earned, and total points earned).
- The response must be in the form of an image, integrating the playing piece into the image. Images must be photo-based but can be altered or photoshopped if the player wishes to do so.
- The response has to refer and expand upon the previous move .
- Moves are integrated into the daily lives of the players in some way, allowing the other player an entry point into the life and artistic practice of the other player.
- Moves should be constructive, not detrimental to the other player.
- Players can assign themselves penalties by removing points when they see fit.
- Upon posting the response the player must email the other player indicating they have responded. Response time is measured from the date and time stamp on the previous post.
- Each response can be accompanied by another piece but is not mandatory. These additional submissions can take any form but is limited to an image or text that can be posted on the blog. These responses are divided into two categories: The first category is a ready-made or found object (such as an artifact from the player's surroundings which can be photographed or scanned). The second category is another 'work' (such as a story, poem, drawing, or another constructed image using the players piece, etc.). These works must also be made during the response period. Previously-made work is not permitted.
- If applicable, both the mandatory image and non-mandatory work must be submitted together. Players cannot submit the mandatory image, then post a piece of non-mandatory work afterward.
- Players must include the points earned for each response using the following point structure:
Mandatory Submission Point Structure
Response in 24hrs: 3 points
Response in 48hrs: 2 points
Response in 72hrs: 1 point
Response in more than 72hrs: 0 points (but must still submit response)
Bonus Item Point Structure
Ready-made or found object: 1 point
Additional work (such as a poem or another piece of "work"): 2 points
